Day 1: Drive to Kabale (Lake Bunyonyi)

Your driver will pick you up from the airport, lodge, and hotel or at your place of stay within Kampala. He will give you a briefing about the country, the journey and the trip then you will drive to Lake Bunyoni via Mbarara, to Kabale in the southern part of Uganda.

We shall make a lunch stop (exclusive) in Mbarara before continuing through the impressive hilly country of Kabale, popularly known as "the Switzerland of Uganda", and arrive at Lake Bunyonyi, one of the deepest lakes in the world, late afternoon. You can spend the afternoon on the lake in a dugout canoe, relaxing in the evening by the lakeside

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
In the early morning after your breakfast, your driver will transfer you from your lodge with packed lunch to the starting point of your tracking group at UWA headquarters so that you can get a briefing at around (7.45am or 8.30am) before you tracking. The gorillas that you track are very friendly to people, though still there are same groups which are shy, sharp and stubborn as human beings.  Your experienced ranger will help you to spot out their presence. You will expect to walk in steepand muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead while pushing your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, before you encounter any gorillas. Once you find the gorillas, you will be able to spend with them up to one hour which is given time due to conservations issues, before going back to your lodge. Though it will be definitely worth while you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience!

Note:  (This trek can take from half an hour to 5 hours depending on the area you track and group– a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes). Have your Dinner and overnight at;

Day 3: Lake Bonyonyi – Batwa visit & Optional activities.
After your morning breakfast, you will visit the Batwa people, known as forest people since they used to spend their lives in the forests. learn their way of leaving.

You can relax in the afternoon, or you can choose to do some optional activities like Bird Watching, Swimming or you can go for boat safari, canoeing. Have your dinner and overnight at the lodge of your choice

Day 4: Drive Back To Kampala
In the Early morning after having your breakfast at your lodge, You will start your journey back to Kampala. On your way, you will have lunch, and then continue. You will get an opportunity to stop at the Equator; you take photo shoots and buying souvenirs. You will be then transferred direct to Entebbe airport to catch your flight back to your home country.

Transport
This Tour is based on a Min-van with 4wd. it seats from up to the maximum of 8 persons. all our used vehicles are well maintained, customized with comfortable seats, a pop up roof which gives a wide viewing 360 angle!!

Upgrades
But in case you want an upgrade to a Land cruiser which is rated as the strongest safari vehicle on the African roads, it’s still possible to make sure you enjoy safari. This come's with extra costs, but it’s worth it. Just in inform us in advance

Accommodation & Transport - Budget;

For this trip accommodation you will be staying at Crater Bay cottages located on the Bufuka village just at the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. Bunyonyi , means “land of the little birds”. Breath taking views of the lake and its many islands, beautiful sunsets are some of the many magical moments you never want to miss, it a simple budget lodge. You will be in a cottage with En - suit bathroom, Mosquito nets. But in case you would like an upgrade, we have some options for you.

NOTE: For this the above mentioned accommodation it depends on availability and we make sure the best is our first priorities when we are making this booking. In case there is no availability during the requested dates of your safari, we do our best to look for another alternative accommodation which is relatively in the same standards or rate range.
