This 7 days tour takes you to the Northern section of Uganda with great wildlife in kidepo Valley National Park which is one the most beautiful park in all Africa. With the sweeping plains of Kidepo and Narus Valleys overshadowed by the brooding mountain scape of Mount Morungole (the sacred peak of the mysterious Ik people,) this park has huge appeal just for scenery alone. Tag on incredible animal sightings and tiny visitor numbers, and you have a winner.to see the cheetahs, rock lions, great savannah overlooking south sudan and kenya. Visit the local communities of the karamongs

Our Guide/driver will be already waiting to pick you up from the airport and transfer you to booked hotel or lodge for the first night depending on your time of arrival to rest as you wait for your marvelous and memorable safari to all Uganda national parks for the adventure.

Day 2: Drive to Moroto
In the early morning, after your breakfast, you will meet with the guide from your hotel, lodge or guest house that you had stayed at your first night. He will then brief you how your safari or trip is planned, and about the journey you are going for. After the briefing you will start your jouney to Moroto in the northern part of Uganda. Journey time: 6 to 7 hours

Day 3: Visit Manyattas - Taste the Karamajong culture
Very early in morning, you will visit the karamajong culture which is the most highlights of your safari by paying a visit to a karamoja manyatta community. A Manyatta visit will be culturally enlightening and refreshing since it this is not a Tourist staged event but you will see how the Karamojong live, the houses where you have to bend down to enter through a small entrance, observe community life, and one of the highlights is of course the traditional dancing which is accompanied by high jumping, all performed in honor of your visit. Visit the sliding rock and also an authentic Karamojong craft shop.

Day 4: Drive to Kidepo
Today you continue along the rough road journey to the Kidepo Valley N.P., the best kept secret of Uganda. You will have also a stopover in town for shopping for some nice safari meals and drinks. In Kidepo Valley you will be cooking yourself (mostly for the budget safaris)
The park has an altitude range of between 914 m and 2.750 m. and the scenery is just amazing! Of the 80 species of mammals listed in 1971, 28 were not known to occur in any other Ugandan park. For many people this is the most beautiful park of Uganda.
Afternoon you will take a game drive along the Narus Valley. Keep your eyes peeled for buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elands, oribis and elephants – and even the odd jackal. Your guide may even be able to locate lions, sunbathing atop rocks, leopards and this is the only place in Uganda where you can find the cheetah and ostrich..

Day 5: Full day Game drives
Today you wake up early for a game drive; as long as you wish, you will drive to the hot springs via the palm tree lined Kidepo River. Search for ostriches and leopard tortoises along the way as you see beautiful scenery.
After lunch (bring food for self-catering unless staying at Apoka Lodge), take a game drive along the Narus Valley. Keep your eyes peeled for buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elands, oribis and elephants – and even the odd jackal. Your guide may even be able to locate lions, sunbathing atop rocks.

Day 6: Visit Karamajong culture, & drive to Gulu
Today we drive to the surrounding communities; you will Visit the Lorokul Cultural Group and explore the fascinating, ancient culture of the Karamojong. Visit traditional homesteads, sample local dishes and hear stories of the folklore of this remote tribe.
In afternoon, you then drive to Gulu passing through some bumpy, rough, and dusty African roads, so get ready for the “African Massage!” You stay at the booked lodge

Accommodation & Transport – Mid-range
For this trip accommodation you will be staying in lodge which is built in African safari style tents, comfortably furnished with twin or double beds, a bedside table and a power outlet for charging your electrical equipment, with En-suit bathroom, hot running water and flushing toilets. No need to worry about linen as all bedding and towels are provided
NOTE: For this the above mentioned accommodation it depends on availability and we make sure the best is our first priorities when we are making this booking. In case there is no availability during the requested dates of your safari, we do our best to look for another alternative accommodation which is relatively in the same standards or rate range.
